Fort Decking blocks are a lightweight, low-profile and versatile alternative to traditional concrete blocks. They can be used as supports for a wide range of home improvement projects, such as decks, landings, raised walkways, sheds, dog houses, and more!
They are lightweight, easy to carry and to handle, so buying and transporting them to your home or jobsite will be a cinch.
Fort Decking blocks are easy to use and don’t require you to dig holes, mix concrete or wait for it to set before beginning construction – less “prep” time so you can start “building” ASAP.
Make Sure You Comply With ALL Local Building Codes and Use in a Safe and Prudent Manner
We highly recommended that you check your local building codes/guidelines before starting any construction project, as you are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Fort Decking blocks on your construction project fully complies with all applicable building codes/guidelines. Failure to comply with local building codes will void our warranty. We do not represent or warrant that the Fort Decking blocks are or will be compliant with all of the building codes/guidelines that may be applicable in your jurisdiction with respect to deck foundation systems.
The Fort Decking block system should only be constructed on suitable substrates and/or terra firma with compacted soil surface. As always, check with your local building department before starting any construction project.
When installing a Fort Decking block on uneven surface, you must never “shim” any low areas beneath the Fort Decking block. In each such instance, the area underneath the footing must be properly leveled (proper height to be achieved by adding to and/or compacting the existing material).
We did not design the Fort Decking blocks to be used for structures elevated more than [1 meter / 39 inches] from the ground, so please do not use Fort Decking blocks as the sole method of support for structures exceeding such elevation. Should you wish to build an elevated structure, it is possible to use Fort Decking blocks in combination with traditional concrete and steel support method, with the Fort Decking blocks serving as an intermediate support.
